Ignite Hub
A Community of Support

One of the key advantages of a the hub is the ability for each business to focus on their specific discipline. Whether it's psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy, or any other field, practitioners can fully dedicate themselves to their expertise, honing their skills and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements. This specialization ensures that clients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their specific needs, leading to more effective and efficient outcomes.
Moreover, the hub encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing among professionals from different disciplines. This interdisciplinary collaboration allows for a deeper understanding of clients' issues, as various perspectives and expertise are brought together. By working in close proximity to one another, professionals can easily consult and refer clients to other experts within the hub, fostering a comprehensive and integrated treatment approach.
The convenience factor cannot be overlooked either. Clients benefit from the convenience of having access to a range of services all in one location. They can receive multiple therapies or consultations without the need for multiple appointments at different locations, saving time and effort. This seamless coordination among practitioners within the hub contributes to a more streamlined and client-centered experience.
Overall, the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in therapy cannot be overstated. A therapy hub brings together diverse businesses, each specialising in their own discipline, enabling practitioners to excel in their fields. The collaborative environment and convenience provided by these hubs ultimately result in more effective and holistic care for individuals seeking support and healing.

Cindy Calvert-Leighton Speech Pathology
Hi, I’m Cindy, owner and sole trader at Cindy Calvert-Leighton Speech Pathology, a small and individualised private speech pathology practice, originally established in the Clare Valley in 2000.
I graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) Honours, in 1993. I relocated as a new graduate to Wallaroo, where I spent a few years working in the health service providing both inpatient, outpatient and outreach speech pathology services to the residents of the Yorke Peninsula, before moving to Clare to work in the Education Department. In 1996 I spent 6 months working as a speech pathologist in Scotland before returning to Clare to have my first child. I have four children who have kept me busy over the years and who prompted my decision to open a small private practice in 2000. In 2018 I took on an additional role as Senior Speech Pathologist in another private practice, providing client services, leadership, and professional support/supervision to early career speech pathologists.
My passion has always been to work with a smaller caseload to ensure the provision of a more personal service which is highly tailored to the individual needs of the clients and families I work with. I feel privileged to have the opportunity to collaborate with the allied health teams at the Ignite Allied Health Hub to provide high quality speech pathology intervention to my clients.
